Established in 2017, Pula Cost Consulting (PCC) was founded by a team of highly skilled industry professionals with over 50 years collective experience across various sectors, including Retail, Hotels, Offices, Public Sector Infrastructure and Mining Projects.

Pula Cost Consulting is a technologically expert business that embraces new innovative thinking through digitization within the Cost Management Practice. Our aim is to use digitization and automation as key tools for optimizing our cost control processes for the benefit of Clients.

Our problem-solving formulas are tailored to suit our client’s needs and our personalized approach conducts complete cost-effective solutions. At PCC we view each project as specific and the solutions offered are based on its merit- that’s our value added benefit.

Being a majority-black female-owned company with our head office based in Johannesburg, South Africa, we pride ourselves on delivering infrastructure development in Africa, as it’s a key driver for progress and economic growth.Our passion motivates us to play an active role in improving our project and cost control structures for the benefit of the economy.

With our expertise, we were involved in various iconic projects across sectors i.e. Gautrain Project, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre Redevelopment, Nelson Mandela Stadium, Cresta Refurbishment and Sandton Atrium on 5th Projects.

Lerato Mphahlele has been a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) for over 10 years and is currently working on projects like the refurbishment of the AgriCentre Office, the construction of a new Maputsoe Mall in Lesotho and the refurbishments of the Home Affairs National offices. With Honors from the University of Witwatersrand, which she achieved in 2009, her experience in the field has made immense contributions to the industry, as she turns projects into a passion and aims to consummate meteoric delivery and improvement towards international standards, along with providing global first-class construction consultancy.

Lerato has been involved in diverse iconic projects including the Menlyn Park Shopping Centre Redevelopment Project, Sandton City’s Atrium on 5th Project and the seminal Gautrain Project. She has
strong technical and managerial skills required to make any enterprise a success.

Deven Ramkhelawan is a Professional Quantity Surveyor who works on iconic projects with stakeholders, developers and other team professionals to ensure projects are implemented timeously and within budget. After spending over two decades working in the industry and heading a multi-million enterprise working on projects both locally and internationally, Deven knows what truly drives the sector, the viability of projects, project & cost management and communication with stakeholders. With his vast background in the construction industry, he has worked on projects such as, the Cresta Redevelopment Projects and the Hilton Garden Inn, to name a few, and is contributing immensely
to the growth of Pula Cost Consulting.

In addition to his extensive knowledge and experience, Deven is a high calibre professional with a strong managerial background. Deven holds a BSc. Quantity Surveying (Hons) from Wits University.

Steven Speirs is a Professional Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years experience working on a diverse range of projects in the commercial field. Steven graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1993 and is a professional registered quantity surveyor. He has worked internationally in Ireland and in Oman, and currently manages projects in Southern Africa and East Africa.
